What are roller shades?

A roller shade is a simple shade that lays flat when lowered and when raised, it wraps around a cylinder. Roller shades come in four fabric collections with 48 gorgeous colors that range from popular whites and neutrals to vibrant hues.

What are cellular shades?

Cellular shades are energy efficient thanks to the unique honeycomb pattern in cellular shades, they trap air before it reaches the interior of the house, and reduce energy costs in both hot and cold weather.

What are honeycomb shades?

Honeycomb Shades are the original cellular shades, specifically engineered to provide beauty and energy efficiency at the window in both cold and warm climates. Their honeycomb construction traps air in distinct pockets, which creates insulation that can help lower your energy consumption and energy bills.

What are roman shades?

Roman shades are offered in sheer, light-filtering and room-darkening fabric opacities, and a range of styles and fold sizes. Roman shades are different from standard window shade in that they stack up evenly when being opened.

How do I know if my blinds are child and pet safe?

Older corded window coverings may have looped pull cords or accessible inner cords that could pose a risk to small children. Beyond Shades offers several safety solutions, including motorized options and various operating systems to go cordless!

I ordered a shade from Beyond Shades for my front door side light. Made the mistake of ordering a non-operable one (my fault). The customer service associates at the Oakbrook location wanted to make it right, and suggested ordering a new one that goes up & down. The installer came and took the first one down carefully, and even puttied the holes. The new one is wonderful, and exactly what I wanted. VERY HAPPY! They were professional, and followed up on if I was satisfied or not. I would highly recommend this store and the blinds they carry. I actually have Hunter Douglas through my entire house, and have never had a problem with them. Even have remote control blinds (up very high) which I love.

I absolutely love my Pirouettes and Custom panels from Beyond Shades. Rachel & her team exceeded my expectations. I knew I was in the right hands when I walked into Rachel’s gallery in Oak Brook, and after we briefly talked about my color and style preference, she pulled out several fabric books and as I started going through them I pulled out a few and said, “I LIKE this one & that one”. She said, “let’s keep looking until you LOVE it!” This was her response to everything from rod style/color, finials, panels to pirouette color/texture. And once I thought I knew what I wanted she said great, I’m sending swatches to your house so you can see them in your space before you decide. We ordered carpet for our master bedroom from Beyond Shades and the whole process was smooth and easy. The carpet came earlier than we expected and the installers were very professional. We love how it turned out!
